2020-04-25 Return to the office starting May 4
HKSAR Government announced on April 28, the majority of the civil servants who are currently working from home will return to the office starting May 4. HKBA will follow the same arrangement.

To follow the announcement by the HKSAR Government, with effect from today (2 Mar), HKBA office resumes normal services. To reduce social contact and infection while travelling in peak hours, our staff have selected their office hours as below: 1) 0830-1730; 2) 0900-1800, and 3) 1000-1900
2020-02-15 Suspension of activities due to coronavirus and special work arrangement
To tie in with the response level under the “Preparedness and Response Plan for Novel Infectious Disease of Public Health Significance” being raised to Emergency Response Level and avoid people from gathering. The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) announced that various LCSD cultural and leisure facilities will continue to be temporarily closed; except special arranged programme, all baseball activities to be held will be cancelled until March 2 (Monday). A special work arrangement for HKBA office has been implemented. Our staff will keep working at home except for the scheduled days. Meanwhile, our office hours will be shortened to 10:00-16:00; lunch hours remain unchanged, 13:00-14:00.
2020-01-31 Implementation of Special Work Arrangement
To follow the suggestion from the Government, a special work arrangement for the Hong Kong Baseball Association will be implemented from 10 February to 14 February. Our staff will keep working at home except for the scheduled days. Meanwhile, to avoid the peak hours of public transportation, our office hours will be shortened to 10:00-16:00; lunch hours remain unchanged, 13:00-14:00.
2020-01-31 Special work arrangement extension
Novel coronavirus outbreak concern, Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor announced today (31 January), primary and secondary schools and preschools in Hong Kong will remain closed until March 2 while civil servants will be allowed to work from home until 9 February. To follow the suggestion, special work arrangement for Hong Kong Baseball Association Secretariat will be extended to 9 February. All employees of the Association are not required to return to the offices but to work at home. 2020-01-29 Special work arrangement
Refer to a Government spokesman announced on 28 January, in order to reduce the risk of the spread of the novel coronavirus in the community, special work arrangement for Hong Kong Baseball Association Secretariat will be implemented from 2pm on 29 January. Except for staff of the Association providing emergency services, all other employees of the Association are not required to return to the offices but to work at home. The measure will be implemented tentatively until February 2. The Government will review the situation before then. 2020-01-28 Cancellation of Baseball Activities/Meeting
To tie in with the response level under the "Preparedness and Response Plan for Novel Infectious Disease of Public Health Significance" being raised to Emergency Response Level and avoid people from gathering, LCSD and Shun Yeung Primary School baseball field will be temporarily closed from 29 January 2020 until further notice. All training and games, including the Phoenix Cup, are required to postpone or cancel. Further notice will be sent to relevant parties.
2020-01-24 Chinese New Year Holidays

2020-01-08 The brand new Hong Kong APEX Baseball League starts on 11 January 2020 in Shenzhen
The first-ever semi-professional baseball league will be started on Saturday, 11 January 2020 at the Zhongshan Park Baseball Stadium in Shenzhen, China. The 1st Hong Kong APEX Baseball League is organized by the Hong Kong Apex Baseball League Co., Ltd., co-organized by the Hong Kong Baseball Association. Three teams play 6 rounds, top two teams enter final to determine the champion. Ticketing will be opened at 10 am on 9 January 2020.
