1. Event date 3rd Youth Baseball5 Asia Cup 2027
Date: 13 - 17 January 2027
Travel: The team will depart on 12 January 2027 and arrive in Hong Kong on 18 January 2027. 
Location: Bangkok, Thailand
 
2. Coaching Staff The coaching staff will be appointed by the Baseball Association of Hong Kong, China (BAHKC).
3. Selection & 
Training Requirements		 Application Period: 15 October 2026 - 22 October 2026 12:00 P.M.

Tryout Details: 
Evaluation Date : 23/10/2026 (FRI)
Time : 07:00 p.m. – 10:00p.m
Venue: SKH St. Andrew's Primary School (聖公會聖安德烈小學)

Phase I Preparation:
  • Local Training: 26 October - November 2026
  • Overseas Training: 26-27 December 2026, Zhongshan, China (for the 16 selected athletes). This training will determine the 12-athlete Preliminary Team Roster. 
Phase II Preparation:
  • Local Training: November 2026 - January 2027
  • Announcement of Final Team Roster: TBA
  • Overseas Training: 2-3 January 2027, Zhongshan, China (applicable to 8 selected athletes on the Final Team Roster)
Please refer to the Training Schedule (updated on 15 October 2026) for details. The schedule is subject to change due to the availability of the venue(s) or other situations.
Selection Criteria

4. Eligibility Criteria
  • Age: Athletes must be between the ages of 15 – 18 years old, in the event year (born in 2009-2012). Open to both male and female athletes.
  • Nationality: Applicants must hold a valid HKSAR passport
  • Membership: Applicants must be current members of BAHKC..
2026-27 BAHKC membership fee (valid until 31 March 2027)
  • Full-time student membership: HK$120 (a copy of the student ID must be submitted for verification)
  • Associate membership (age 18 or above): HK$360
  • Full membership (age 18 or above): HK$2,500 (lifetime membership, subject to approval by the BAHKC Board of Directors)
5. Application Procedure (a) All applications must be submitted through the BAHKC Online Registration System (ORS):
(b) Upload the following documents to the BAHKC ORS.
  • Copy of Hong Kong Identity Card (HKID)
  • Copy of HKSAR passport
  • Copy of Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents
(c) Upload the following documents via Google Drive: https://forms.gle/nJRh4MZeGGAxfNng7
  • Headshot photo (light plain-colored background without wearing a cap) 
(d) No application fee is required for the tryout period.
 
6. Regular Training Fee Athletes who pass the tryout must register for the 2026–27 Baseball5 Regional Squad Elite Training Scheme.

Registration fee for the 2026–27 Baseball5 Regional Squad (valid until 31 March 2027): HK$600 per athlete

Remarks: No additional fee is required for local training.
 
7. Participation Fees Competition:
  • 3rd Youth Baseball5 Asia Cup 2027: HK$2,000 per athlete (applicable to the selected athletes)
Overseas Training (The fee will be finalized based on the specific trip arrangements)
  • 26-27 December 2026, Zhongshan, China: HK$500 per athlete (applicable to the selected athletes)
  • 2-3 January 2027, Zhongshan, China: HK$500 per athlete (applicable to the selected athletes)
8. Notes
  • All fees paid (membership, registration, participation) are non-refundable once the application is submitted.
  • Final interpretation of these terms is at the sole discretion of BAHKC
