Hiring Contract Conditioning Coach

Post: Contract Conditioning Coach (合約體能教練)
Target Group: Male and female athletes for baseball and Baseball5, aged 13 and above
Term: 12-month contract
Monthly salary: HK$ 25,000

Reporting to the Director of Information Technology & Sports Science, the Secretary-General, and Head Baseball Coach.


Duties and responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement safe and effective training programmes for athletes;
  • Supervise injured athletes training in cooperation with the Sports Medicine support;
  • Perform fitness and field-testing on athletes for monitoring training progress;
  • Provide both local and overseas on-field support to elite sports teams;
  • Centralize and maintain a database for all training records;
  • Organize, implement and assist in educational workshops and lectures for athletes and coaches;
  • Monitor the maintenance of the fitness area and equipment; and
  • Keep abreast of the current trends of Strength and Conditioning for peak performance.
  • Assist in administrative tasks.

Qualifications:
  • A university degree in Strength and Conditioning, Sports Science or a relevant discipline;
  • A minimum of 2 years relevant working experience in strength and conditioning;
  • Proven experience as a strength coach within professional baseball or a high-level collegiate baseball programme is a definite advantage;
  • Holder of a certified Strength and Conditioning specialist certification or a related qualification;
  • Holder of valid first aid, CPR and AED certificate;
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English. Ability to speak Cantonese and Putonghua is a definite advantage;
  • Proficient in MS-Word and Excel; and
  • Awareness/ knowledge of Child Protection in sport and equal opportunity issues in the context of Hong Kong are an added advantage.
