Hong Kong, China Baseball5 Team Player Recruitment (Second Round)

*This Asia Cup will also serve as a World Cup Qualifier to qualify the top 3 Asia teams to be eligible to participate in the WBSC Baseball5 World Cup 2026

3. Selection & 
Training Requirements		 Application Period: 25 October 2025 to 31 January 2026

Tryout Period: 1 November to 31 January 2026
  • Athletes must attend at least two sessions during the Tryout Period;
  • Please refer to the Training Schedule (updated on 22 January 2026) for details. The schedule is subject to change due to the availability of the venue(s) or other situations.
Preparation Period: 1 December 2025 to March 2026
  • Local Training Requirement: Athletes must attend a minimum of 60% of local trainings (e.g., 3 out of 5 weekly sessions)
  • Overseas Training:
    • Selected players are required to attend the overseas training. The coaching staff will conduct performance evaluations through competitive matches to determine the Final Team Roster.
    • Proposed Schedule: Weekends in December 2025, January & February 2026 (Depart Friday evening, return Sunday evening).
  • Final Team Roster: to be determined according to the submission deadline as set by the WBSC Asia.

4. Eligibility Criteria
  • Age: Must be at least 15 years old in the event year (born in 2010 or earlier). Open to both male and female athletes.
  • Nationality: Hold a valid HKSAR Passport.
  • Membership: Applicant must be a valid member of the BAHKC.
2025-26 BAHKC membership fee (valid until 31 March 2026)
  • Full-time student: HK$100 (Applicants are required to submit a copy of their student ID for verification)
  • Associate member (age 18 or above): HK$300
  • Full member (age 18 or above): HK$2,000 (Lifetime validity, subject to the approval of the BAHKC Board of Directors)
5. Application (a) All application should proceed on the BAHKC Online Registration System (ORS), link to ORS:
(b) And submit the required documents on the BAHKC ORS.
  • Copy of HKID Card
  • Copy of HKSAR Passport
  • Copy of Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macau Residents
(c) No application fee for the Tryout Period
 
6. Local Training Fee Athletes who have passed the tryout must complete their registration for the 2025-2026 Baseball5 Regional Squad Elite Training Scheme

2025-26 Baseball5 Regional Squad registration fee (valid until 31 March 2026): HK$500/athlete
 
7. Participation Fee Competition
  • 3rd Baseball5 Asia Cup: HK$1,000/athlete (applicable to the selected athletes)
Overseas Training (The fee will be finalized based on the specific trip arrangements)
  • January 2026, Chinese Taipei / Japan (TBC)
  • February 2026, Chinese Taipei / Japan (TBC)

8. Notes
  • One training tee will be provided per registered athlete.
  • All fees paid (membership, registration, participation) are non-refundable once the application is submitted.
  • Final interpretation of these terms is at the sole discretion of BAHKC
