IMPORTANT STATEMENT - Official National Anthem of Team Hong Kong was replaced with another song
This is an important announcement to the public and to the sports sector made by the Hong Kong Baseball Association (“Association”).
In the evening of 13 December 2022, the Association received a report that on 14 November 2022, someone has uploaded to YouTube an edited version of the original video of the pre-game ceremony of Team Chinese Taipei VS Team Hong Kong in 2010 XVII IBAF Intercontinental Cup where the official national anthem of Team Hong Kong was replaced with another song.

On 13 December 2022, the Association has reported the above issue to the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (“SF&OC”), the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (“LCSD”), the World Baseball Softball Confederation (“WBSC”), the Baseball Federation of Asia (“BFA”) and the host of 2010 XVII IBAF Intercontinental Cup.
As instructed by the SF&OC, the Association has reported the above issue to the Hong Kong Police Force on 13 December 2022, and provided further information to the Hong Kong Police Force on 14 December 2022 in support of the investigation.
The Association strongly condemned these kind of actions.
