Coaches for Training the Hong Kong Baseball National Team to Play the Incheon Asian Games 2014
The Hong Kong Baseball Association is looking for a pitching coach and a hitting coach to train the Hong Kong National Baseball Team to play the Incheon Asian Games 2014.
The employment is made on a contract basis for a period of about three months, starting from early July to mid-September 2014. The two coaches will not join the Team to play the Asian Games 2014 due to the regulatory restrictions.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Providing support to the Head Coach, focusing but not limited to pitching and hitting training.
- Supervising the team athletes the ways to keep their best performing conditions in respect to skill and health
- Assisting the Head Coach in evaluating and selecting the best performing athletes into the Team, fine-tuning the training program and formulating game strategies for the Asian Games.
- Preparing weekly reports on the training.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years relevant coaching experience for a national team or a professional team.
- A track record of coaching experience at the international competition level.
- A good knowledge in formulating game strategies, evaluating performance of athletes and understanding the anti-doping regulations.
- Good communicative and organizing skills.
Terms and Conditions for the Employment:
- The employment is made on a contract basis from early July to middle of September 2014.
- The Hong Kong Baseball Association will assist the appointed coaches to apply for their working visas from the Hong Kong Immigration.
- The monthly salary for each appointed coach is HK$40,000 (about US$5,100), calculated by actual number of days over actual number of days in the respective month.
- Food and lodging in Hong Kong and all kinds of travelling expenses will be borne by the appointed coaches themselves.
