Chief Secretary for Administration held a press conference today (July 27) and mentioned that the situation of the COVID-19 infection in Hong Kong is getting worse. HKSAR Government announced on April 28, the majority of the civil servants who are currently working from home will return to the office starting May 4. HKBA will follow the same arrangement.

Latest Events
As the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) announced on July 13, in response to the latest situation of coronavirus disease in 2019, it is necessary to take further restrictive measures to reduce social contacts. The LCSD will suspend the opening of all recreational and cultural venues/facilities reopened from July 15 (Wednesday) until further notice; and also cancel all remaining recreational, sports and cultural activities in July. Open League in July will be cancelled and reschedule.

2020/2021 District Promotion Baseball Training Scheme (Phase 2) will be suspended until further notice.

Hong Kong Baseball Association will organize two events in August:

1. Hong Kong Baseball SIX Competition will be held on 2nd August, 2020, divided into two categories, the Children Mixed (7-12 years old) and Open Mixed (13 years old or above). For details, please click HERE.


2. Baseball5 World Cup Trial will be held on 9th August, 2020, divided into two categories, the Youth Mixed (15-18 years old) and Open Mixed (19 years old or above). For details, please click HERE.


Team registration will be started from 30th June, 2020 to 14th July, 2020. Thank you for your attention.




2020/2021 District Promotion Baseball Training Scheme (Phase 2 - Elementary Course) will be conducted in July & August.
The enrollment period for the Participants of Phase 2 as below:

Parent-children & Children: 24 Jun 2020 10:00 am

Youth & Adult, Women: 22 Jun 2020 10:00 am

Due to COVID-19, 2020/2021 District Promotion Baseball Training Scheme (Phase 1 - Elementary Course) is cancelled.

The 2020-21 Hong Kong Baseball Open League (Open League) tentatively planned to start in late June or July. The 2020-21 Open League will be changed to four divisions: Men’s B, Men’s C, Women’s and Mixed division. The number of teams is limited to 10 teams (more than 10 teams will be decided by ballot.), each team could play at least 4 games. The Men’s C championship will be qualified for the next year's Men’s B. The lowest ranking of Men B will compete in Men’s C next year. Each match must have at least one HKBA registered coach attend (level 1 or above).

To teams who have interest to join the 2020-2021 Hong Kong Baseball Open League, please register from 27 May to 5 June. Due to the COVID-19, in order to prevent the crowd from gathering, we will use Facebook live to hold the ballot. The unselected teams will not be able to participate in the 2020-2021 Open League; all payments will be returned to the paying account. The following is the relevant details.

Team Registration: 27 May – 5 June 2020

Date of Ballot: 8 June 2020 (Monday)

Preliminary Player Registration*: 9 June – 23 June 2020
*Teams must have at least 12 players in the roster before 23 June 2020.
